Richardson Residence
I worked with home builder Doug McCall for this job in a new home on Paradox Lake NY. The Richardsons really liked the firebox which we built at the Allison's residence. They also liked the mantle detail of the Beal's fireplace. We combined those two elements with the curve of the upper chimney stacks of the Adirondack Rustics Gallery fireplace and the Bowen's fireplace to come up with the design for their fireplace. Another detail of this fireplace is in the opening to the firebox - the arch starts lower than normal. We also incorporated two bookcases on each side of the fireplace. The mantle is cut stone from Granite Mountain Stone. In addition to the fireplace, we also placed a front step using matching granite.
